From Thermodynamics to Opinion Dynamics [About This Issue]

چکیده
This IEEE Control Systems issue includes two features and one “Focus on Education” article. In his feature “Classical Thermodynamics Revisited: A Perspective,” Arjan van der Schaft explains how classical, macroscopic thermodynamics can be naturally understood from a systems control perspective. The article emphasizes the role of cyclo-dissipativity for formulation first second law analysis irreversibility. Furthermore, geometric theory is discussed toward integration in modern frameworks modeling multiphysics systems.
